we are just starting to walk into one mark my words
welcome to the internet
if i got time i should probably mod llama 2 for this
first one yeah, second one not so much i don’t think
so what now? don’t sip on that straw right
firefox for linux machine edge for windows & custom browser for android phone. brave idk
why am i edge user now i used both of those before
i was using boost for reddit for couple years before they closed that down. but i kept using it for a few months after that until now. now i spend about the same amount of time on reddit and lemmy. definitely takes time to switch for me.
i used other reddit alternatives like saidit before this too and briefly voat, gap, etc. lemmy is exciting because it’s bigger than most reddit alternatives and not as conservative as gap. 9gag is mostly a meme site at this point.
not sure if related but a lot of ancient cultures have many rules to hold back envy for a more stable society. they can be very exterme leading to say the recent mask protest in iran but current culture might be the other extreme so to speak.
wish i could have the time and skills to rid lemmy of those things now.
i saw a comment on hackernews about how chatgpt and LLMs really caused reddit’s recent changes and conflicts. and that made sense to a degree. the regular user is perpetually online and i guess big tech is all about grabbing users’ limited attention at this point.
hopefully the cost of running it is not so much and all users chip in to a degree to keep it going.
