Little boutique place near us has an “Apple Cheddar Pie” ice cream in the fall. It’s never quite as good as you expect. Gotta try it again this year, to see how they’ve changed it.
(On the other hand, their Lemon Curd Blueberry is one of the greatest things ever served in a cone in the history of humankind.)
Mandarin orange slices.
Capitalism, fucking everything up, same as everywhere.
You’re not here to ask a good-faith question, you’re here to state an opinion or theory.
The Democrats won’t win an election while opposing fracking. O&G is far FAR too powerful to let that happen. If Harris stood firmly against fracking, then the opponent would win - be he (and it will be a he) Trump, Musk, or David “Son of Sam” Berkowitz.
No, I’m not exaggerating.
They would, and they do.
But because they’re rich and determined to play both sides of the fight, they also pour some (less) money towards the Democrats to have some leverage.
As hilarious as this is, it doesn’t really address the question of whether farts will maintain their potency in a jar, or if they’ll degrade in the presence of air.
If farts never lost their potency, the entire planet should be unbearable by now.
OK, I know nothing about furry social interactions, but non-furry cons - comic, scifi, etc., are all generally quite welcoming.
The best advice I got as an introvert who moved to a different country was that I don’t have to be outgoing, I just have to pretend to be outgoing. Acting, essentially. It was surprising how easy it was to fake sociability, to the point that I made a few friends.
Seriously?
Phone the cops. Now.
She is female.
She is black.
She is strong.
She is not a puppet.
She is EVERYTHING that the power structure fears, because she will be hard to control, and likely cost them a lot of money and power.
Open revolution is about the only avenue left.
Here come the accidents!
In the US…
shooting a gun is legal. Going to the bank is legal. Shooting a gun in a bank is illegal.
So many incorrect assumptions in this single question.
First off, Roe v. Wade didn’t establish absolute autonomy over the body, only protected the right to legal abortion.
Secondly, how about men? One could argue that they’ve had all the bodily autonomy that they could hope for, but prostitution in the US is still illegal. Except that that’s not entirely true - because Nevada.
The government has the authority to govern and establish laws. If they decree that prostitution is illegal, than it’s not really a question of bodily autonomy as much as it is about business law.
You can’t legally sell heroin on the street. You can’t take someone else’s car. And you can’t sell your body for sex.
Absolutely true.
I don’t believe for a second that Google and Reddit give a shit, though. Untilbwe see a company destroyed for violating the GDPR, they’ll just consider the risk of fines part of the cost of doing business.
Even better, don’t use Twitter at all and don’t support its insane fascist asshole billionaire owner.
Seriously, why even continue talk8ng about twitter? Let it die.
I’d qualify that as for-profit mandatory insurance.
Canpt get a mortgage without home insurance. Canpt drive a vehicle without at least liability. Those rates should be strictly government regulated to be sustainable and non-profit.
But if you want to insure your collection if priceless Whitworth wrenches, well maybe I care a bit (Just a bit!) less about insurance gouging.
Trophy hunting, after all this time, is still legal and big business.
Well, I’ve found some of the answer.
/volume1 is a single LV on a single VG - no surprise there. There are two PVs comprising it, each of which is a RAID5 group across an extended partition on the disks.
pv0 is /dev/sd[abcd]5 and pv1 is /dev/sd[abcd]6
Now what I find most interesting right now is that SHR supposedly required btrfs to operate - and yet, /volume01 is an ext4 filesystem.
Part of me would like to convert to btrfs, but I’d need a spare 10TB of storage just to back up to, before starting down that odyssey.
More digging, more questions.
