I’m out of the loop what happened
Mint->arch->nixos
Edit! I’m wrong! Read below comment
A hibernation state where your laptop completely powers off saving current ram to disk to resume from when the system is powered back on. The article is a pretty interesting read!
Maybe, but it really isn’t like other substances. It’s much. Much easier to quit. I don’t know if you have ever smoked nicotine or tried to quit that. But it was the hardest thing I believe I’ve ever done in my life. Id rather roll around in broken glass for 4-5 months. 2 years later and I still get cravings. I do not feel the same way after quiting caffeine. I was a little tired. Maybe a little irritable for a couple days. But it was nothing like the physical, all body encompassing cravings for nicotine.
Dont listen to people about tailscale. This is self hosting! Do it yourself it’s part of the fun. I don’t know why people are shilling corporate entities so hard here.
There isn’t going to be a search engine without some type of ai or content agitation tool. Key word search is not enough to make one of these work. Search engines need to sort through millions of web pages, and try to give you the best match for what your looking for via smart algorithms. With Google these algorithms are designed to sell you products and get the most clicks out of you. Kagis profit incentive is to curate good links for your search results. Indie results will always be low on the ranks thats why they are indie. As they get more popular so so their search results. You don’t want your search engine feeding you only new and up and coming shit. You want the most relevant search results. Sometimes it’s going to take some digging to find what your looking for. UNLESS you want to give up mountains of your data to and hope that the company uses it to serve your interest instead of feed you sponsored bullshit.
Kagi!!! It’s cost money but it’s cheap. If you do alot of searches it’s worth it
You probably don’t need pis then you need a real server
Find the gpus unit and physically remove it
Its worked great for me, I switched a couple months ago. Getting nvidia working was a breeze.
I second everyone else dont use manjaro. As someone who was in a similar position to you, I started with mint just to toy around with it. Personally I’d recommended fedora, or Ubuntu (fedora over Ubuntu). I didnt stick with mint long though, eventually I just took the deep dive and installed arch as my daily driver which I wouldnt recommend unless you have time and energy to tinker with what us broken. If your uncomfortable with using Linux full time try duel booting that way you have windows as a back up system in case you bork something. If you have any questions feel free to DM me. And remember flatpak is the linux beginners best friend.
Decent, with proton I can play most games with no issues
On reddit you didnt even have the option to join a new community if it was banned or blocked. This is a better alternative
It was made in 10 days, its type system is a mess, its syntactic shit, and there are just better replacements out there that will never see the light of day due to how big its already gotten
Gnome osk keyboard is pretty subpar if you ask me though
