We are in a time where a single invention can rarelt be great. For technological development you need thousands of small inventions, each that use previous technological breakthrough through decades of research. And even great things we have, are just refinement and miniaturization of things we already had.
But if a single thing had to be said, I would say mRNA vaccines. Covid vaccines saved milions of lives, were developed in record times, and their technology could be used for HIV or even antitumoral vaccines.

If developers optimized their apps, we could have phones that are 10x faster than 10 yeara ago. Instead they are the same speed and the same amount of apps fit in the bigger storage, because developers are lazy and use heavy, unoptimized technologies that use 10x the resources
May be, but I don’t think apps use it. Afaik Teams, Discord and such are all epectron apps, yet they have not much in term of dependencies and large install sizes, so they must ship with their own versions.

Well, to amazon credit, they only offer cloud services. If government officials are dumb enough to store confidential documents in webservers without any authentication, it’s not Amazon’s fault (also, assuming you find real documents, the fact they are indexed by google, means that those links are also stored on publicly accessible pages, like forums or link directories, that’s the only legit way it can be found by google crawlers; that’s double dumb)
If you demand proof to state they do, you should provide proof when stating they don’t. It’s not like Apple is the most trustworthy company in the world. With big tech it’s always reasonable (definitely not certain) to assume they could be spying on your activity, and unless you are able to download your software source code, check it and compile it yourself, it’s almost impossible to tell.
Think of all the pollution you would not make if you died! Maybe we should all die a little bit more
