I recently tried selfhosted grocy. It’s really amazing, but in the end does seem over the top for us, so we went back to intuition and communication based “household management” ;)

Obviously not. Building a modern browser engine from scratch is an immense undertaking, so it’s definitely possible that it will never be usable as a replacement for every day webbrowsing. But for now I won’t give up hope :)
“trustworthy AI”
Why? Why can’t we have even a single decent browser? Servo is my last hope.
Yes, some variation is good! Also pick a slightly different interval than the snooze time, so if you hit snooze it is triggered twice xD
The problem is (at least on android by default) the difference between turning off a timer (losing your job and your wife and becoming homeless) or hitting snooze is literally swiping to the left or to the right. While you are basically still asleep. That is literally the dumbest fucking horse shit UX every created and that’s why multiple timers are needed so you can either snooze or turn the alarm off and still get a second chance for not becoming homeless.
I am in this picture and I don’t like it!
You are technically correct (the best kind of correct), but the meme is funny anyway.
Missing on that list: Phones and network hardware from huawei. But iPhones, also produced in china, are of course not a problem :'D
It’s not a rolling release though, right? I mean mint is nice, but I am absolutely pleased with my experience using debian testing as daily driver for years while it just stays perfectly up to date and never breaks (as opposed to arch or even manjaro).
Debian (testing branch): Add normal firefox to the repo. Firefox ESR is total bullshit that makes zero sense to use. I always install it either as flatpak or from the unstable repos using apt-pinning (which works great though!)
I love it and use it all the time, especially calc. But one thing I’d really like to see is a fix for the fact that the icons up top look absolutely horrendous on high DPI screens, no matte the icon theme used (svg or not).
“improvement” lol xD
I hate that BS with a passion. Never find anything I need and always spend way more clicks than needed for simple tasks.
This is the way!
I think that is actually true. The average poor republican doesn’t want to be wealthy, if that would mean that <insert minority of your choice> would also become more wealthy or have more rights. This also applies to other political subjects. I mean a poor republican who works a terribly paying job with no worker rights or healthcare would actively vote against politicians who say they’d want to change that situation, just to make sure that underage girls that got raped are forced to give birth to their unwanted childs they then can’t provide for.
waddle waddle
I love this story and I want to believe it’s true, but I can’t. It’s just not plausible that an ancient religious myth like the flat earth wasn’t already a conspiracy theory before 4chan.
I also think it’s more descriptive. Just like blocklist and allowlist.
Haha thanks :)
What has her virtue signaling to do with posts on lemmy who are not talking about her at all? If she coincidentally expresses some opinion that someone else also has, that doesn’t mean they defend her or haven’t got a problem with the fact that she’s a billionair (also born exceptionally privileged).
It’s unsafe, not renewable, not independent from natural resources (which might not be present in your country, so you need to buy from dictators) and last but not least crazy expensive.
