Discord is also quite the resource hog. Trying to run the web version on weaker phones is a slog.

Crypto currency built in and not open source.
Even if you can physically hold it, you better be damn sure it will work without internet.
And the big tech companies also stand to benefit from overhyping their product to the point of saying it will take over the world. They look better for investors and can justify laws saying they should be the only arbiters of this technology to “keep it out of criminal hands” while happily serving the criminals for a fee.
I usually put duct tape over any LEDs that I might be sleeping close to just fir that reason.
One of the things Fedora specifically has going for it is the generally newer kernel, which has been important for me in the past.
As you’ve probably heard, it’s basically just NVidia with shitty drivers. They are getting better but are not included in many distros (they can usually be added through the package manager pretty easily) since they are proprietary. Intel and AMD generally work out of the box for gaming. NVidia drivers are bad enough that I sold my 2060 for an ARC a750 just because of the drivers lol.
The high schools in my city have dedicated city bus routes that transport most of the students. All students who live more than about 1km away get a city bus pass for the year, which means the school transport can be pretty flexible. This is in Canada btw. Many of the people who opt to drive instead either cone from far away because of certain programs at the school or are just privelidged af.
IIRC in my area kids can legally ride on sidewalks which makes sense.
Depending on the use, you may be able to spin then down when not in use, but that’s not always possible for some applications.
I have one and opted for a Oneplus 6 running postmarketOS because of the pinephone’s many shortcomings:
Some things I liked:
I might have stayed with the pinephone if it was more powerful like the pro, and might have brought a battery bank so I don’t have to worry about running out.
That is why my restaurant will number tables by UUID.
I know for me personally, its worth the time to set things up myself since I usually learn something new along the way. If you don’t care about the learning aspect and just want the finished product, paying someone else is probably a good idea.
That’s seems like a good idea, considering the plethora of videos online of packages being stolen with an obvious camera watching the thieves.
bro, just use firefox or Librewolf or something.
That and it has full functionality in the browser. No bullshit “download the app”.
Nah, give me that Fisher Price Baby Screwdriver that’s easy to use and cannot build a space shuttle.
Ouch, I feel your pain. My high school education consisted of one course in C getting as far as pointers, then the next in Python.
I find phone images too always look overprocessed, specifically sharpened and denoised.
Ah yes, charging money for not using a service, makes perfect sense! /s
