Lol yeah, what is their release schedule like? Any speculation on when 13 is coming out?
I just assumed Ubuntu releases were based off of Debian.

As someone who has been using Ubuntu for 10 years, I am sad that I don’t know more about the intricacies of Linux.
I know more than I did 10 years ago… But probably would really be uncomfortable running arch.
I think I will install Debian 24.04 as my desktop (daily driver) this year and be done with Ubuntu. Hopefully I learn some more and eventually try out Arch on my laptop.
Yeah especially since they had a “verified safe” label on it in the snap store web page.
I love KDE connect have been using it for years.
Only issue is recently I tried it on my raspberry pi and some features don’t work. Specifically I can’t get clipboard sharing or remote input to work on my raspberry pi.
Haha so true.
I tried to use chatgpt to convert a monstrosity of a SQL query to a sqlalchemy query and it failed horribly.
It’s not glitches, it’s M$ intentionally making their python language server only work with proprietary vscode
There’s also proprietary packages that don’t work with vscodium, like Microsoft’s pylint or something I forget, but I had to go to great lengths to get features like refactoring and auto formatting in my python files after switching to vscodium.
Oh I don’t use remote server within my ide. If I wanna push code or files I just use a git repo.
Oh dang I thought I was safe using codium. What other problems should I be aware of?
Dang that’s scary. The user would need ssh access to the container for this to work, right?
Yeah… I really don’t see the motives to do this either. Possibly:
I guess if you’re traveling and you have to bring 2 laptops.
Or you can’t afford a PC with the same specs as your work laptop.
Both of those situations don’t warrant booting work laptop to external personal HD though.
Nice, totally buying this for my wife.
So can I cast a live twitch stream to my raspberry pi using this?
Nextcloud AIO (all in one) is a docker compose nextcloud instance that handles all of the optimizations for you. That’s what I use. I host it on a VPS I lease from contabo. Nextcloud is fast enough for me. I don’t need lightning speeds.
Same. I can’t remember the last time I started a docker container without a compose file.
Why would anyone buy that?
That’s great art.
Does this use SMS or is it another messaging ecosystem altogether?
I remember being so lost in the dark when starting docker. There’s 2 main approaches to launching docker containers. One is with CLI arguments and one is from a docker-compose.yml file.
I highly recommend the latter.
Try going to chatGPT and ask it to write a docker compose file for whatever service you’re trying to stand up.
