Here is one
That’s a DVD
I second this! That live ISO will not fit in 700 MB
Also it is marked “DVD”
Photoshop!
Here’s an actual CD:
Lost somewhere I should have a Windows 95 USB update addon disc.
How to spot a linux user: You don’t. They’ll tell you. Unquestioned.
I can agree that without even willing a lot of the times I give signs
It doesn’t look burned, there’s no blackening.
The burns are on the underside.
I can tell this is fake because it doesn’t have a CD key written on the disc!
I love you debian!!!
Why not FCKGW?
If you want to make a greybeard feel old, find a floppy disk in his cupboard, pick it up and ask him why he 3D printed a save icon.
With everything autosaving now there’s a chance kids have never even seen the icon.
I know it’s spooky month but you’re taking it too far.
I still want one of those drives that used a regular ol’ cassette tape (like for music). Those were bitchin’!
Every now and then, I see a business that still uses ZIP disks, too.
When I worked at a university help desk (which was a while ago, but not nearly so long ago as what I’m about to say might suggest) the number of people who came in because the floppy disk they were using to store the only copy of their thesis or dissertation had stopped working was too damn high.
Years ago I was an officer in a small social guild in Warcraft. This new girl joined and just immediately started telling us about herself which is kind of a common thing for those types of guilds. Then she said something that will haunt me for the rest of my life.
“I only like really really old movies like Clueless.”
It took me a good solid 10 minutes to recover from this and then at that point I simply removed her from the guild because I really didn’t know how else to handle the situation.
Not too long ago I was in school and some guys had a presentation about computers in the 70s-90s they talked about magnetic data media. One of my class mates asked “what the fuck is that magnet thing” the guy answered:“it’s something like DVDs for example”
