I definitely posted this in a bit of a /r/fuckcars shitpost spirit, but I don’t disagree. I love pictures of “generic car-centric north american highway exit town” because they inspire a kind of liminal space type of feeling to me.
Like I’ve no idea where the original pic was taken, but it could be in my city. There’s barely any identifying features other than “vaguely north american”. It feels like home even if it could be on the other side of the continent.
Honestly, yeah. There’s lots of beauty in the mundane, I’d say.
