It’s futile. You are no match against a multi national corporation.
I think it is Hyprland that is the outlier in being animated by default, rather than sway being especially barebones. Compared to popular WMs on X11, sway is not minimal. Compare to dwm and bspwm for example, both of which are pretty popular yet more minimal than sway.
Not just the pricing, but also the low footprint, tiny size and fanlessness.
I’ll add that it’s made by the creator of foot terminal
Pinephone?
Also I like fuzzle better than rofi, check it out if you haven’t
Red one gives you both. Literally. Just buy Bitcoin or something.
I have it on WiFi unfortunately.
If I put it the server on Ethernet, would it no longer impact the WiFi connection of any other device? I guess it makes sense that it wouldn’t.
Extending Ethernet to the server won’t be trivial, but I think you’re right I might have to do it.
That’s part of my concern behind going with local setup. I have a lot of unused HDD storage.
I am yet to see the point of this. Does this offer anything that gitea doesn’t?
Are there matrix clients that do this? Only fetch messages from server when needed and not store locally?
Are they not expensive?
It is not privacy minded unfortunately. No major smartphone brand has privacy.
Wouldn’t that be a less sustainable use of land?
I guess maybe not if we are talking tall building, where the roof surface area may not be sufficient for the entire building. But it would be a waste not to make use of all the unused rooftops
Thanks a lot! What does DTS mean?
They seem to be the only product that occupies negligible space and is relatively affordable.
The other options are either more expensive or significantly larger.
I’m a middle essterner and I couldn’t continue reading your post but it’s nothing I’ve ever heard of.
A nation founded on settler colonialism, ethnic cleansing and mass murder should probably not exist imo.
While true, apple remains the bigger hurdle here. They don’t seem even willing to cooperate.
Some package managers do have differences that justify a separate project (nix, gentoo’s portage, etc).
For others, sometimes package managers are very similar feature-wise. But some developers would rather remake the thing because they would understand their code a lot better than someone else’s. Or because it would be far easier for them to customize rather than extend another project.
Imo it is developer laziness. Being able to use other people’s work is a valuable skill. But then again, this is open source, and people are free to develop the software they want the way they want.
I know someone who’s literally making that right now. Remind me in a week, I’ll send you the link. He’ll probably be done by then.
