Anybody been thru the process before and know what the approximate costs and details are about getting a cat seen for potential asthma?

She has a really jerky/compressed in/out breath that makes her stomach look hiccupy and she often has several fits of dry heaving all day. She used to throw up constantly but not so much anymore but she still has her training to jump of the couch whenever that arises.

Thanks 🐱

Have you tried pet safe scoop free? It uses crystals, so no clay dust. It’s just not good for more than one cat tbh

It is an automatic lol. But I get it. I switched from pet-safe to the litter robot. Loved the robot but it only lasted two years. Eventually just went back to manual scooping low dust clay, with alarms in my phone because adhd

Hope you find what you and your kitty need!

With the litter robot? I think it was living in a location with very high humidity, honestly. Even a litter with low dust will stick quite a lot in that circumstance

Just so I’m clear, I’m talking about the brand “litter robot” , it was shaped like an egg. And, yes, I did have a dehumidifier. I think a simpler design might have lived longer, but maybe I got unlucky.

I’m hope I didn’t worry you more, it sounds like you already have a system that is working for you and your cat. Your kitty just needs a bit of medication from the sounds of things

If you don’t have any options other than clumping litter, World’s Best corn litter has next to no dust. If you have to go with clay, Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal Slide is very low dust.

That’s understandable. Unfortunately it will not work with an automatic litter box.
