It seems in this particular situation the office was out armed and out positioned.

People: “We have to do something about shool shootings!”

Conservatives: “It’s not a gun issue it’s a mental health issue”.

People: “Ok let’s do something about mental health!”.

Conservatives: “It’s not a mental health issue, it’s an office training issue.”

People: “Ok lets train officers better!”

    Conservatives: “… no …”

    Ad infinitum.

Of course the officer’s mistake here was being the only office on site doing nothing, rather than having 400 officers on site doing nothing.

According to the article there were seven other officers on site doing nothing, but Peterson was charged because his position as school resource officer made him an exception to previous rulings that officers don’t have an obligation to protect anyone.

Yes, being uncertain or waiting for back-up when you’re out-gunned and alone is one thing, but Uvalde was unforgivable (which I assume you’re alluding to).

These Lone Star, Thin Blue Line dipshits with Punisher patches and stuff cowering in a corner while an unarmed mom wriggles out of handcuffs, hops the fence into the school and saves her kid.
