Well it happens more often than you think because most armored Cars and Trucks outlook the dore instantly and make openings from outside impossible. A Police department near me made it mandatory for the keys to be attached to the belt with a small chain so its not being forgotten.
Its a little embarrassing but nothing out of the ordinary. Its just insanely easy to do this by accident :/
Call a tow truck back to station, they usually have a spare key there.

Work camp doors lock behind you. I used to lock myself out once a shift. Lol
Or have someone at home base drive over with the key. That might be cheaper than a heavy vehicle tow.
As if a police department with such a vehicle would give a shit…
