  • Tor was always comrpomised, the point has never been to be uncrackable, the point is that tracking down an induvidual user is enough effort that it can’t just be done on mass like with normal internet traffic. If you draw direct attention to yourself then it isn’t going to save you.

The basic options for magic are:

    • Sorcerers: Magic blood line or other innate gift of birth. Basically magic aristocracy.
    • Wizards: Usually anyone can be a wizard, its the magic equivelent of studying hard in college.
    • Warlocks: Anyone can be a warlock if they’re willing to make a deal with the devil; the magic equivelent of dropping out to become a stripper.

Pretty much every fantasy has the magical aristocracy but the latter two are available to regular people in a lot of fantasies too, though wizardry is often gatekept and magical pacts tend to be for villains only.

  • You can smelt aluminium with as little as a candle. Its normally incredibly hard to refine but we’ve left tons of that stuff in pure form all over the place. Fossil fuels would likely be a pain but charcoal exists and would do buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo for smelting iron with a well built forge, It’d be harder to do but finding clearly artifical constructs made of the stuff would probably give them a huge incentive to figure out how to melt the stuff as opposed to our civilization that didn’t even know iron could be smelted for a really long time.

  • After much messing around with several models lately. They can put anything together so long as you can find the basic components on google. Its like if you had a magic photoshop filter where you could copy two women and two men onto a desert background, throw some frog heads on the guys, stick a spaceship in there and have it all somehow blend together.

Where it falls apart is when you ask it to make something that can’t be assembled out of basic and well documented components. It can’t really do animal human hybrids unless they’re that kind or just a person with their limbs randomly turning into whole animals, it also struggles with changes to the fundemental structure of things so a humanoid alien with 4 arms is rarely going to work or even a vehicle with an unusual number of wheels for that vehicle.

Ultimately AI can remix existing art extremely well but it struggles to create anything it doesn’t already have hundreds of examples of.
