I mostly agree about the Muppets, I don’t really see the appeal and have never found any of their media all thay interesting.

HOWEVER

The Christmas Carol is the one exception, I don’t like it because it’s Muppets, I like it for the beautiful music and honestly heartwarming storytelling. Best adaptation by far and it’s a Christmas tradition now.

Either talk about the plot, set a production date or stop writing these nothing articles.

I mean, no duh Tarantino would do a Trek movie that has lots of blood. To be familiar with his name is to know that’s his style. Just tired of years teasing how great something WOULD’VE BEEN but not saying why.

Just as black Americans had to argue for their freedom, to vote, to self protection. Just as women have to vote and own property. Just as queer folk have to marry.

There is literally nothing political about being trans. Just like there is nothing political about being a woman, being black or being gay.

The only politics is the people that want to limit the choices and freedoms of those (and others) . If you see trans people talking about what helped them as “political” then you are only looking for some culture war nonsense.

Besides, if you really want to get in to the philosophy of it. Where exactly is the “you” in your body? We are all a collection of living cells that are controlled by a not yet entirely determined part of thr brain. 100% with ya, the double standards are kinda crazy. The differnce between the first two panels is pretty stark in regards to the kid, even if the point is essentially the same.

My take is that male bodies need to exposed in order to be sexualized so they read vulnerable, but female bodies are can be read as sexualized and vulnerable regardless how they are presented. But that doesn’t really explain panel 4 & 6.

Oh yeah, this is super standard. Honestly I had to scroll down to find what was even notable to you about this picture. I live in a major city and basically every store I go in to looks identical to this.

Just finished The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K LA Guin, which was absolutely fantastic but so is all her books. Techincally Sci-fi but only in the loosest sense to describe sociology and the narcissism involved in thinking one person can “fix the world”.

Highly recommend.
