Evil motherfuckers tend to live forever, unfortunately. It’s the pure concentrated hate that sustains them.

The problem is that most of the growth goes to the already rich as they pay immigrants poorly and make them pay high rents (hence the need to have multiple families living in a single unit). It’s still a death spiral, just with higher profits for the rich few. The only way to make it not a death spiral is to force the rich leeches to stop sucking the blood out of everyone else.
What else would I stroke while thinking? 🤔
This is one area where we’re supposed to benefit from the greatly increased automation. We don’t need a huge mass of people doing make-work. The current situation is that we force people to do make-work to continue making on-paper profits which mostly go to a tiny set of wealthy people. The current situation is unsustainable even if population growth increased because it’s a pyramid scheme. The system relies on infinite growth.
The birth rates are low because of the terrible environment that doesn’t support having and raising children. All you’re doing is importing more people who will also barely have any children within a generation or so. Mass immigration is just throwing bodies at the bottom of the pyramid scheme. You can see this in action in Canada where housing is absolutely unaffordable, but large numbers of immigrants are brought in who have to work for shitty wages and live with multiple families in a single rental unit.
The screaming about low birth rate is because corporations want to keep a high labor pool so they can drive down the price of labor while keeping up demand for consumption.
Most, if not all, of these books talking about how to get rich are how the authors get rich in the first place. While there may be some good advice in them, the real way to get rich is to sell others on the idea that they could be rich if they buy your products/services.
Thanks for admitting you have no response and instead rely on a thought-terminating cliché.
There is a big gap between auth-left and auth-right thought. Auth-right thought imposes violence as an inherent part of the ideology because it promotes the idea of racial supremacy, they have to actively commit violence to achieve their goals. Auth-left uses violence on perceived threats to their order, not based on features people are born with. I do not agree with China’s actions on Tiananmen Square or their treatment of Uyghurs, but these two things are definitely used by the US as a fulcrum to attack China.
Do you not find it odd how much importance is placed on Tiananmen Square after all these decades? Do you not find it odd how hard the US hammers the point of the Uyghur genocide while at the same time fully funding and supporting the genocide of Palestinians? The tactic is to flood communication channels with propaganda to achieve domination over the narrative and this is the sort of thing we’re seeing here with countless posts about tankies. Why are we supposed to take American narratives as gospel to shut down opposing narratives?
YSK: There are countless posts by “concerned” users shrieking about tankies. What is the point of these “informational” posts? Looking to stamp out opinions you don’t like so you can turn the fediverse into astroturfed-to-hell-and-back reddit 2.0?
No, even though they don’t like the instance, they are required to post in it for whatever reason and then cry when they predictably get modded.
I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. People think bitcoin cannot possibly be controlled because it’d take a lot of hardware power to override blockchain entries, but there are other ways to control it. Tether is one good example where the value of that is supposedly backed by underlying assets which include… bitcoin. So they’re buying bitcoin with tether and tether is deriving part of its supposed value from bitcoin. Tether hasn’t been audited and they’re free to print however many tethers they want. Yeah, that’s not insane at all…
Where did the money go? I doubt it went into the hands of the average person who then decided to overpay for everything.
Large Lying Model. This could make politicians and executives obsolete!
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, but shit like this is what prevents people from taking preventative measures.
Quite a few people identify with their consumption choices, perhaps to an unhealthy degree. I get your point though.
As if the high rent is not enough income for these greedy fucks.
If you were to place the ruling elites on either the left or the right, which side would you think they’d be?
Exactly. I do this while walking away.
Part of it is the paranoia about what people perceive as trolls or shills, combined with thinking that their opinions are a matter of life and death. I’ve seen people here talk about the old internet and I think what helped back then were communities were generally smaller, more tight-knit, and there was a greater separation between the internet and “real life”. I can’t fault people for being paranoid when many governments and corporations have added the internet as a platform where messaging must be controlled.
There have been media works that point out that the internet, although allowing people to connect from all the way around the world, paradoxically isolates us. This is something we can at least partially mitigate by giving others the benefit of the doubt and not be so quick to dismiss and antagonize. While it is tough to respond kindly to someone who insults you, sometimes doing so can have a disarming effect on them.
Nobody fell in love with biden in 2020. He was crowned the nominee because they told everyone that somehow out of all candidates he was the best chance against trump and democrats fell in line, just like they did in 2016 for hillary.
