These are some broad brush strokes, dude.

I agree that modern and western atheism is sort of a dialectal to western religion and so perpetually tied to it in a way, that westerners don’t often see.

I agree that atheism as commonly portrayed online (actively and by its detractors alike) is militantly against Islam, all religions, etc.

But lots of atheists are actually humanists and not militantly out to root out all religion entirely.

Inside the US we are plagued by a religious fascism that yes, sadly, colors a looot of the online conversation about faith and atheism.

Atheists are not generally for eradicating all religions on the planet.

70% of what’s wrong with out political climate is someone has to pump out garbage opinion pieces/cartoons/podcasts just because their has to be content to consume. Even the horse race pieces that are ostensibly “news” but really just framing of the race at a given time.

“Boss, there’s nothing new to make a carton about”

“Well Biden’s age and Trump’s court stuff are in the news name drop those. Oh and make it favorable to the one guy, because your peer is making one favorable to the other.”

  • If states fail to provide a representative government to their citizens, then the states has walked back some of the steps required to become a state. A serious SCOTUS could potentially block Senators and Representatives from a state that really gerrymanders or denies people the right to vote. In my opinion.

There is currently a challenge to remove 10% of WI representation because they removed ten percent of voters from the rolls.
